To the Homorodean family...........I was born and raised in Strathroy and left town in 1947 when my family decided to move to Toronto. While growing I got to know Nick and his father at the shoe repair shop. Over the years I have visited Strathroy periodically and never failed to drop in and renew acquaintances with Nick. It is one of my most cherished memories to have known Nick, the family man who was never seen without a smile on his wonderful face. Over the years I have thought often of my upbringing and always Nick was in my mind. My deepest condolences to the family and I am so sorry that God has made the decision to accept hm into His holy place. A wonderful man who I know I will miss very much when I visit my home town. God Bless.

Lilly, Peter, Holly, Sandra, Andy and Donna – we recall Nick as always being the epitome of love for life. Robust and energetic, faith filled and passionate, Nick’s demeanor never seemed to change either at Sunday School or re-sewing those winter boots yet again. He was an icon in our memory of the Strathroy community. We know his memories and his faith will also sustain you at this time.

The world has lost a great man. Strathroy has lost a respected citizen. As a young lad I delivered fresh vegetables to Nick who always had a kind word for our family. Through the years Nick repaired our sports equipment of course shoes and my business equipment always with such pride and enthusiasm for life with such a great smile. It was our pleasure to know Nick and his family! Our condolences to them. A special hug to Holly, keep on smiling and remember him well. When I left Nicks shop I would always wait for that special phrase"praise the lord" and I knew everything was ok with the world. God bless Bert and Cindy Pascuzzo

To Mr. Homorodean's family, my deepest sympathies. I will never forget Nick for being so good to my parents and our family in the early years of our residency in this community of Strathroy. He knew we were very poor and charged for our repairs accordingly. But, most importantly, he was a good soul, with a good heart and every time we went into the repair shop he would say, "Hello there Henry, (my late father) how are you today?"
God bless you all and rest in peace Nick.

Our deepest sympathies... great memories of Nick at his shoe repair. ...some 40 years ago. In a family of nine, it seemed there was always something that needed a stitch, a patch or some glue! Always cheerful, smiling, gentlemanly to all who came it, through the revolving door it seemed, for seldom was he alone in the shop , but he carried right on while talking.... multi-tasking they call it now. I remember him every time I drive out of the Libro back exit and read "the Homorodean's earthly home". Our condolences. Alice Facchina (de Gouw), Parkhill.

My sincerest condolences to your entire family. I knew your Dad and used to make many trips to his repair shop. I was very disappointed when he retired and the shop had to close but it was a well earned retirement for a hard working man. After spending so many years here in his earthly home, I know he is smiling that big smile of his and rejoicing with the angels in his Heavenly home. I know your family will miss him dearly but he prepared his whole life for this final journey and his journey is now over. Love and prayers to each of you. <3
