To all the Toonen Family My heart just took a dive when i heard the news. I know i only knew Gerarda for a short time but she is a lady i will never forget. I know you as family were thankful for the time I spent with her but she lifted my heart and my spirits as much as i lifted hers. I will never forget the way she would correct my pronunciation of different dutch words or the way her eyes would light up when Opa would walk into the room.. And did he ever convince her that yes he did make a pot of soup even though she claimed he never had his head inside a pot. I know you will miss her dearly but know in your heart that she will be looked after better in heaven then you could have looked after her here on earth.I know God has a special place for her there right beside your sister. When my parents left me i never said goodbye but said Ill see you later.
