Dear Norm and family,
May the God of Heaven, our Heavenly Father, who gave His Son Jesus to redeem us from our sins, give you comfort and hope.
I too have experienced the departure of my wife. The Lord does give assurance that His timing is right if we trust Him and believe Him.
Here is a reassuring verse since it extols the Lord's knowledge and not man's.
"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal,
THE LORD KNOWETH THEM THAT ARE HIS.
And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity" II Timothy 2:19.
The fact that the Lord knows, that is, He owns and keeps every one of His elect, is enough to comfort us when death separates us for a time. Neither Gwen nor Marie face anymore of the trials, problems or sufferings of this earthly life.
Until the Lord calls us, let us live godly as the last part of the above verse instructs us.
