Dear Janet, Paul, Debbie, Cathy and the Landers family, I'm saddened to hear of your loss. My fondest memory of Wally was playing the par 5 12th hole at Mount Hope. He hit his drive out of bounds. His third from the tee went into the middle of the 4th fairway. His 4th shot landed about a foot from the hole. He knocked the putt in for an amazing par 5. Thanks for the memory Wally.

Auntie Janet, Debbie, Paul, Cathy and extended family,
I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Uncle Wally and send my sincere condolences. I know he's in a better place now and hope you will find comfort in that.
I have a lifetime of memories of him that I will cherish forever. He was the absolute best friend to my dad. Spending time with the two of them was like watching a comedy show. He helped me through illnesses and was someone I always looked up to and admired.
Rest in peace Uncle Wally. You were one in a million.

Dr Landers will always be remembered for his kindness and support … regardless of the circumstance. He was a true family friend and always a happy soul. Such great memories of hockey, golf and social gatherings ring through from my childhood … not to mention his care and attention as our family doctor. Sending our condolences, hugs and love to the entire Landers’ family. And wishing you strength as you cherish all your wonderful memories. Love from Dan Marsden and family.

It is funny that my Mother (Jean) and myself were talking about him just days ago.
I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such a charismatic man.
He was my Doctor all of my life until his retirement. I had the special privilege of a lengthy visit at the home of John Winegard Sr several years ago, when he and Bill Friday reminisced about smashing a piano in front of the Oasis, cracked open heads while diving into hotel pools to retrieve car keys and the like.
After regaling us with hilarious stories - he was sure to mention that despite all the shenanigans (dumb dumbness) - he stated - “we did work too you know “.
He was an amazing Doctor, loyal to his friends, a wonderful singer and an incredible role model growing up. Always dressed immaculately, he had a special talent for reassuring young people that we were not unique with our problems and more often than not gave clear examples from his own life. He told you with certainty what you needed to hear - and I believe cared immensely about his community and family.
I offer warm gratitude to his family and friends and take comfort knowing that despite coming to the end of his earthly journey, he will be welcomed to the Glory of Heaven and reside in everlasting love and light. Certainly not gone, fondly remembered and waiting for you in eternal peace and comfort.
