Smith, Marie (Nee Field) 

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marie Smith announces her peaceful passing on March 28^th, 2023 at Sprucedale Care Centre in her 94^th year. Beloved Wife of the late Charles A. Smith (2007). Loving Mother of Mary Ellen (Brad) Barclay, Randy Smith, Gayle (Keith) McLeod, and Bill (Marian) Smith. Proud Grandma of Yvonne (Brian) Wigboldus, Ian (Tracy) Barclay, Josh Barclay, Lisa Holmes, Steven (Emily) Smith, Annette (Geoff) Bice-Hotrum, Leanne Cecchin (Nate), Michelle Cecchin (Khenan), Tamara McLeod (Jamaal), Wesley McLeod (Bianca), Candice (Brian) Verhelle, and Rianne (Ryan) Parker. Marie was the very proud Great-Grandma of 20 Grandchildren and 1 special Great-Great grandson. 

Marie is the daughter of the late Harold and Muriel Field. Marie is predeceased by her brother Lyle (Vi) Field and her sister Catherine (Jim) Case. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to take place at Oakland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation.
