Just learned of Marie's passing... so sorry to hear this... she was a wonderful lady. Marie took me under her wing when I reported to Strathroy Detachment in 1969. Found me lodging and helped me climatize to the community. She would often stay late to help complete assignments and all without renumeration or complaint. She was a wonderful person... it was an honour to share some time with her. My condolence to the family. Lyle Smith

My mother in law Marie was always ready to enjoyed being with her family. She always loved to sing and dance. I will always remember the cards games we had every week with her and Charlie. She was a sly euchre player and loved getting in a ladies Bridge game which I could never get the hang of. I am sure she jointed Charlie the love of her life in heaven. Charlie probably would say well you took your sweet time. She was ready cause the dementia changed her and took away the Marie I knew and loved. This picture was taken 2015 at our annual Halloween party at the Our Ponderosa Campground. Covid changed everything for many of us and Gayle her daughter step up making sure she was well taken care of. I would like to thank the employees of Sprucedale Care Centre for all that you did for Marie. It’s a thankless job at times. I want you to know we care and thank you for taking care of many that live there. Sincerely Marian and Bill Smith.
