I am so sad to hear about Jerry's passing. He was one of my favourite friends through my job at the VPP and a special patron who not only took time to engage with us on social media, but made me feel particularly appreciated, especially during the pandemic. I am so sorry to all who loved him. He was a dear, kind man. <3 Callandra Dendias

I regret that I really only got to know Jerry in his last few years as a key member of the executive for PROBUS for Strathroy Caradoc. He maintained a phenomenal memory of local people and events and contributed a great deal to our club. When he spoke his truth it was rational and incisive. Jerry Veale was a quality human being.

I was so sorry to hear of Jerry's fall and now his passing he truly was one of the most energetic and committed people I know when it came to doing good works and helping others. Jerry is an inspiration to all of us to keep our "light" burning in spite of adversity. Thank you Jerry. May you rest in peace. We at the VON Middlesex Elgin Community Corporation will miss you!

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Jerry. I was honoured to meet him and hand him a Lions club token, that I had found metal detecting. The joy on his face was worth it and all offers of money were turned down. Rest in peace Jerry.

I was so sorry to head of Jerry's passing. Helen and Jerry came to our door when we had our kids (triplets born July 1,1992) and handed us a generous cheque from the Lions and Lioness club, I will never forget that day and how lucky they made us feel to be part of an amazing community.
I will miss seeing him at the Farmers market on Saturdays, Roy's and anywhere else he may be skooting around.
I know he will be smiling from ear to ear about the results of the municipal election!
Rest in Peace Jerry, you were a very kind man

Jerry was a very positive, hard working member of the local PROBUS Club. Through his network of contacts, Jerry arranged several interesting speakers as well as creating and presenting a walking tour of historical Mount Brydges, this past June. His local knowledge of Caradoc Township and our people and businesses was amazing. He will be missed as will his smile.

Cousins many times removed, we finally met at a family funeral. Jerry always welcomed us with open arms when we visited our Ontario family. He shared his knowledge of Veale family history and kept us laughing with his great stories. I always knew Jerry must be online when I had a bunch of notifications on Facebook, he would like every picture I posted. A truly selfless and generous man who loved life. He will be missed. Our condolences to Deb, Betty and the family.
Warmest regards from Dawna and Eric Mackay

Our deepest sympathy to Betty, Deb and Family. We met the Veales when we moved to Mount Brydges in the 70's and became fast friends. Our first viisit with them was a Lions gathering in their driveway across from our house. None of the Lions sat with their wives and we had the wrong people married for months. We became involved with the Lions Club through them and made many great memories together. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
