One of my fondest memories of Steve is when he helped build the deck around our pool. My Dad would come by and watch us every once in a while. Steve, being the quick wit that he was said “Percy now I know what kind of engineer you are.” My Dad answered “ What kind?” And Steve replied with a straight face “A stationary engineer cause all you do is stand around!” Well my Dad walked off in a huff and we all had a good laugh. He came back later that day and told Steve “That was a good one” and laughed. I feel privileged to have been his friend and will miss his humour and wit. Love and prayers go out to Anne, Allison, Lindsay and the rest of the family.
