Obituary of Jean Alice Colgan

COLGAN, Jean (nee Parkin) 1928- 2020

Passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Sunday, August 16, 2020 in her 93rd year. Born in London, Ontario, Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband George. Loving mother of Beth (Dan) O'Brien of Oshawa and Ted of London. Loving grandmother of Patrick (Kelly), Jaci (Brandon), Andrew (Jenn) and Jeff. Great-grandmother of Austyn and Shea. Her brother George Parkin passed on the same day as Jean. Survived by her sister Isabel Murray and sister-in-law Ginette McGilvery. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Bill Colgan.

Jean was a school teacher for many years, beginning in a one room school house at Springbank and completing her career at Caradoc North Public School.

A private family service will be held at Strathroy Cemetery. Jean’s family would like to thank Dr. Perkin, all the staff at Seasons Retirement and the staff on One South at Strathroy Hospital.
