May 17 2022......I'm sorry that this so late but I only heard of Les' passing from a fellow Zellers executive today....
Les and I never worked in the same city but we met at Company meetings through the years.
We often shared meals together after meetings were over for the day. He was an enjoyable
companion and a very pleasant man.
Rumour has it that wine making was a passion.
Condolences to the family. He will be remembered....

My sincerest condolences. Les was very much a mentor to me during my years at Alice Saddy Association. He was a trusted friend and showed me the way with many families. He and his wife provided great insight to my gardening adventures. He will be sadly missed by many.
Les will be missed by many people who are involved with Alice Saddy Association. Les was a board member from 2005 until 2018 and board chair for several years during that time.
Les had a great sense of humor and when being introduced would often comment "Les is more" .
Les was an avid bird watcher and took great pleasure in identifying Snowy Owls during the winter.
Les was a mentor to me and I will remember him as a friend.

It's with deep sadness we learned of Leslie's passing. We knew Les an His wife Shirley since 1985 when we all lived in Halifax. We enjoyed many dinners and parties with them. Leslie was a great cook and with Shirley's strict guidance came up with some wonderful delights.. He was a wonderful host and he was also a great gardener and delighted in showing off the latest native plants he had discovered. As well as gardening Les has many other hobbies, we spent many weekend with them sailing. He's earned many points in the afterlife with his many charitable works. "To live in those we leave behind is not to die". We have many fond memories of Les and will miss him dearly, and we share in the grief of the family.

Very sad to hear of Leslie's passing. The only comfort we take from this announcement is he will now rest peacefully with the love of his life Shirley.
