Obituary of Catherina Tyssen

Passed away peacefully at Huron Lodge Long Term Care on January 29, 2019 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Henricus (1985). Loving mother of Eric (Rhandi), Joe (Sandra) and Peter (Janet). Cherished Oma of Jennifer (Chris), Rebecca (Devon), Christopher, Tanya (Jordan), Ian (Jacqueline), Sharon (Steve) and Amy (Tim) and Great Oma to Julie, Nick, Alex, Brayden, Ryder, Lillith, Victor and Lucien. Survived by her sister Bertha Coonen of Holland. Catherina was a generous, loving lady who lived her life to give back to those in need. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Woman's League and she was a sponsor for three priests; Fr. Valentine, Fr. Celestino and Fr. Michael at the beginning of their priesthood in Kenya, Africa. She has touched the lives of too many to count and she will forever be remembered for her kind and caring soul. A special thank you to the team at Huron Lodge for their wonderful care over the years. At Catherina's request, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place at All Saints Catholic Church, 124 Front St. East, Strathroy on April 25, 2018 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:30 AM at the Church.
