Dear Bonnie and Elizabeth and all of your family, My sincere condolences at the passing of your Mother, Betty. She is fondly remember by me and my Grade 4 girlfriends Linda and Dolly. Betty taught us grade 5 & 6 at Mt Brydges Central School and a bit before the Central school opened. Mrs Blair and Mrs Gough were two of my favourite teachers . I can see them both standing at the front of the class. I tried very hard to write as well as Betty did on the greenboard but perhaps it was the 49 cent fountain pen from Meyers General Store that was my problem. Trying to not let her catch you sneaking a black ball candy in class was always tricky. But art class was always fun. She was a lovely, lovely lady . May you all be blessed with her gifts of kindness and generosity. She and Spike will be flying over Manitoulin with Linda Casler for directions on their way to that Great Place where we shall all meet again. Heather
