Sorry for your loss Ian, Jeff and family. As one of her many piano students, she left indelible memories and did more than teach piano skills. The finest hostess I ever met, always so welcoming, (even when unaware, I'd pop in). I was glad to even decorate the Christmas tree once for her. She gave me a reference on my first job. She not only was a teacher but showed me how to achieve goals with perseverance and excellency, along with her passion, love and joy. She will live on in my heart.

TO: IAN and JEFF.
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Norma. Liz remembers how kind and considerate both Norma & Ian were to her when she was a student at Western U. She will always remember your hospitality to her. Liz & I, with our daughter Emily, have visited Norma's home a few times. She was a great hostess. She enjoyed showing us all her antique cars and doing a great job interacting with Emily.
Norma had a great laugh and made people around her laugh. Thank you for all your gifts and talents Norma. We will miss you.

I am truly heartbroken to hear of Norma’s passing. She was an nspirational teacher and colleague. My oldest son still to this day speaks of her with fondness and gratitude for all he learned in her grade 7 class. And my youngest remembers the special day of racing around her backyard track as she and Ian looked on. I was blessed to share a workspace with Ian for many years, and doubly blessed to have known Norma as a teacher to my son and friend. My condolences Ian and all of Norma’s family. She will be missed.

I am incredibly heartbroken to know we have lost Norma. She was first my piano teacher, then my neighbour, and always my friend. Our condolences to Ian, Jeff, and extended family. I can’t even say enough about Norma, she inspired me as a teacher and she was the most amazing teacher I knew. She made a difference in so many students lives with her heart-filled actions, reaching kids in ways no others could.
Norma became such a great friend to Ryan and I and soon came to be known as “Aunt” Norma to my girls who would look forward to her big hugs (and rockets) whenever they would see her. We are sending big hugs up to you Norma and we will never forget you!
