McAllister, David Hercules Peacefully passed surrounded by his loving family on April 23rd, 2018 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Kit McAllister (2003). Loving father of Sandy (Alan) Richardson, Geoff (Grace) McAllister, Jim (Janet) McAllister, Lisa (Randy) Woodiwiss all of Strathroy, John (Elly) McAllister of Watford, and Steve (Rhonda) McAllister of Bright’s Grove. Proud grandpa of Becky(Curt) Barr, Michael (Paige) Richardson, Patrick (Jacquie) Richardson, Rachel McAllister(Keith), Matthew McAllister (Jessica), Emily McAllister (Brady), Alisha (Mike) Gleiser, Michelle McAllister, Dave (Alex) McAllister, Jake McAllister (Rhiannon), Candace Woodiwiss (Billy), Katie Woodiwiss, Megan Woodiwiss, Karen McAllister, Tracy McAllister, Charlie McAllister, Heather McAllister, Josh (Lisa) McAllister, Olivia McAllister (Brandon). Cherished great-grandpa of Gavin, Isla and Cali Barr, Tessa Richardson, Cameron and Isaac Richardson, Beatrice and Grant Gleiser, Christian, Orlie, Violet McAllister, Cole and Ewan McAllister and Blake Kelso. Survived by his siblings Mary (Rudy)Reich and Ruth Rendall (Mark Adams), sister-in-law Carol McAllister, brother-in-law to Don (Isabel), Jim, Judy, and Dave Vyse. Predeceased by his parents Burnice and Emily and brothers Donald and Douglas. Dave will be sadly missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and his Burger King Coffee Buddies. Dave’s pride and joy was his family. He was a proud OAC Aggie and spent his life in the agricultural industry and operated the grain elevator in Kerwood for over 30 years. Dave was a life member of the Strathroy-Caradoc Optimist Club and served faithfully at West Adelaide Presbyterian church and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Strathroy on Friday, April 27th at 1:00p.m. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
