I was truly saddened to read of Roy's passing. During his career our paths crossed on numerous occasions during my role as a Funeral Director. At our first meeting we connected over a mutual friend Rick Denning and from that point forward I felt I always had a friend. May the thought that his career made a difference in so many lives bring comfort to all of you during these days. There are many of us in the Royal City who share your loss. My sincere condolences to Roy's entire family...I am so saddened to hear this news. I had the pleasure of working with Roy at the Special Investigations Unit and enjoyed my conversations with him. The one story that sticks out in my mind is of him telling me about how he would start his Christmas mornings off by calling his family in the wee hours of the morning simply out of sheer excitement for the holiday. Rest In Peace Roy.

Wish I didn't live so far away and could be there for the Book family. My best memories were around Grandma Collin's table waiting for everyone to stop by. Going to Aunt Nora's and visiting with my older cousins. Roy was a lot like my uncle Ernie. You couldn't wait to see him. Full of fun and always a smile and laugh. Hope he is at peace now.

I was so sorry to learn of Roy's death. Roy was closer to Neil's age but I have very fond memories of growing up with the rest of the Book family (and their spouses in high school). I can't remember seeing Roy without a smile on his face and judging by the photos shared, that didn't change. I'm sure each of you have special memories of Roy that will be with you always.

So sorry to hear we lost Roy. Our condolences to the family! My fondest memories of Roy go way back to when the Books lived on Carrie Street and Roy was like a big brother to me.
