I had the pleasure to meet Jacob for work, we worked together in two project while he was working at Henry, and I had the chance to meet him in person during the acceptance of the projects when he came and visit us in Italy.
He was a great person, brilliant, hardworking, passionate and dedicated I really enjoyed working with him and I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Jacob’s passing.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the Damen family sending my thoughts, prayers and well wishes during this dark time in their life.

Dear Carolyn, Lucas, Nolan, and family,
Words can not express the deep sympathy and condolences so many of us have for you and the entire family. I sit here still in disbelief that I won't see Jacob or talk to him sometime soon. Jacob was a true inspiration to all that he interacted with. . . .whether it was his innovative way of looking at problems and solving them, his never-ending care for his fellow co-workers' well-being, or whether it was just having discussions about his love for his family and friends and how proud he was to be a great father. . .everything Jacob did was with extreme passion! I had the pleasure of calling Jacob a friend since high school. For the past year he has been my boss at Henry and although we took work serious and professionally he made it personal and I always felt like a friend first. So I have known Jacob from a personal and professional side and I can honestly say there was no difference. He was intelligent, caring, selfless and motivating. He was a good friend and the best person I have ever worked for. We spent one on one time while working in Texas and every morning we would drive to the plant together and he would talk about his family and give me dad advice. He loved being a dad, he loved his family and friends and so even when he was away working I can assure everyone that he would be thinking of all of you. His family should be proud of the man he was and always remember what his life taught you as I think that is what he would want. Thank you Jacob for all that you have given me, you will always be remembered.

We were shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Jacob’s passing. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jacob’s parents, his brother and sister and especially Carolyn and the boys.
It was a pleasure to work with Jacob at Henry Company. He was a natural leader with maturity beyond his years. I enjoyed watching him progress in his career which is only accomplished by hard work and dedication. Jacob was an accomplished Engineer and led many important projects during his time at Henry Company.
Jacob had a great sense of humor and was always there to offer up a story to lighten the mood. This often made challenging times progress a little easier.
In conversations with Jacob over the years, It was clear that he loved his family as he spoke often of his parents, brother, sister and especially Carolyn, Lucas & Nolan. We connected on the fact that we both love being Dads. I know he was really enjoying fatherhood as most conversations with him of late were very focused on the boys.
We are sorry we cannot attend the service. Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

I am still shocked and deeply saddened by the thought that Jacob is no longer with us-the world surely lost a good one. He was a caring, focused, hardworking individual that would never hesitate to help anyone in need. I had the privilege, and the honor of working with him for the past 3+ years. I considered him not only a colleague, but also a mentor and a friend. He was a great man who enjoyed a good cup (or two) of coffee, could talk your ear off about the game of basketball, and truly loved his friends and family. In our many work trips together we would often swap stories about family, and the love/pride that Jacob had for Carolyn and the boys was very obvious. We did not know Jacob. We do know some of you and your extended family.

Dearest Carolyn,Jerry , Kim , Tyler, Julia, family and friends: Way back when the boys were in public school we met and had many great competitive games in volleyball and basketball. The blue and white basketball league gave us many opportunities to see Jacob starting to be very friendly and giving to others. Teammates with our son we watched him becoming the energetic, friendly man he would become. Needing a coach to finish the last year of high school basketball the boys approached Bert how could he refuse they all loved the game too. It takes many kinds of people to build a community. Sometimes the great ones go unnoticed, till they are gone. Jacob was a great husband, father, son brother and friend. Anytime I ran into Jacob, he was funny, as he knew I knew Tyler for longer so he'd pretend to be Tyler til I clued in. He was a great guy from a great family that will be missed.
