Obituary of Leslie Allen Campbell

Peacefully, on Monday, April 17, 2017, Les slipped away to join the love of his life Donna, who predeceased him on January 15, 2017. Les was the much loved father of Lesley (Frank) Hollingsworth, Dan (late Terri) Campbell, Andy (Jackie) Campbell and Cathy (Dan) Giles. He was the proud and loving grandpa and great-grandpa to Bobbi Hollingsworth, Jessi (Jason) Bettencourt and their son Niko and his sister Diem; Alex Campbell (Sydney Carroll); Ashley Campbell (Chris Payne) and their soon to be born son; Erin, Jason and Sarah Campbell; Andrea (Shane) Alderman and their children Brooklynn, Parks and Marius and Nathan Giles (Bekah Wilkie) and their son Noah. Les is survived by his brother Elwood (Loretta) Campbell, his sister Marilyn (Jim) Cooley, sister-in-law Joyce Campbell and brother-in-law Doug (Kathy) Miller and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Allen (Harriet) Campbell, brother Ron, and his in-laws Alvin (Jessie) Miller. Les worked for many years alongside his father and brothers at Allan D. Campbell and Sons Limited. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and “tinkering”. Les sang for many years with the London Men of Accord and was a founding member of the Strathroy Vocal Federation- Barbershop Quartet singing and the SPEBSQSA were in his blood. As per Les’ wishes cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY 519-245-1023 on Wednesday, April 19th from 2-5 p.m. Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery at a later date.
