Obituary of Edward Isaac Ferguson
FERGUSON: Edward Isaac
Edward Isaac Ferguson was born February 12th, 1988 in London, Ontario at St. Joesph's Hospital. Eddie grew up in Arkona and Coldstream surrounded by extended family and loving friends. Upon finishing high school, Eddie began working as a framer and moved to Ancaster, Ontario to attend Mohawk College and be close to his many friends. Eddie moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2012 where he found his true home in the mountains and backcountry of the Rockies while working as a framer and builder with Goodwood Framing. Eddie fell in love with the West and took every opportunity to be outside, exploring and discovering with his close Alberta friends. Those who knew Ed will remember his intelligence and quick wit, his love of the outdoors, his craftsmanship and ability to build and create almost anything. Ed loved learning and sharing experiences and ideas with all those around him. His giving heart, passion for others, and hospitality made him life-long friends wherever he went. There are countless stories of how he connected with and loved everyone around him. Eddie died suddenly on Wednesday January 11th in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He leaves a giant hole in all our hearts and will never be forgotten by his parents John and Lori Ferguson, siblings Titus (Rachel) Ferguson, Margaret (Andrew) Bond and Emily (Jeff) Miller, and their children Eleanor, Phoebe, Emma, Juliet, and baby. The whole Ferguson family was blessed to call him son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend for twenty-eight years. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 17th from 6-9 pm at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY 519-245-1023. A memorial service and luncheon will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at 10:30 am from Providence United Reformed Church (447 Second Street, Strathroy). The family suggests donations in Edward's name to the reconstruction of Fort McMurray through Samaritan's Purse and their Canadian Relief Projects: https://secure.samaritanspurse.ca/Donation/Default.aspx?pc=080504
