GODDARD, Richard (Dick) E. – Peacefully at University Hospital in London, ON on January 2, 2017. Age 74, of Strathroy, Ontario. Born in Kelliher, Saskatchewan, July 1st, 1942. Beloved husband of Ruth (Gates) Goddard. Father of Merle Goddard (Keith Montague) and Richard Goddard (Nicola Luksic). Second Father of Stuart Gates (Chantal Crothers), Allan (Brenda) Gates. Grandfather of Miro and Petra Goddard, Stephanie and Aaron (Ashton) Montague, Conner Crothers, Sarah, Emily, Robin and Nick Gates. Papa to his furry companion, Ditto. He is survived by the mother of his children, Millie Goddard, his sister Joan Goddard, and his niece, Cynthia Goddard. He is predeceased by his brother, John Robert “Bob” Goddard and his parents, Verna Fay (McKay) and Alfred Ernest “Ernie” Goddard of Kelliher, Saskatchewan. “Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth.
