Obituary of Gay Haagsma

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, on Thursday, December 22, 2016; Gay Haagsma passed away at the age of 87. Loving wife of 63 years to Jacob Haagsma. Dear mother of Anne (Steve) Van Veller, Arthur (Susan), John (Betty), Richard and Ken (Joanne) Haagsma. Cherished Beppe of Brett (Courtney), Dana, Derek (Andrea), Adam (Jessica), David, Mark (Lisa), Michelle (Jordan), Brent (Emily), Samara (Kevin), Jared (Becky), Brianna (Nick), Lydia (Jeff), Aaron, Michael (Natalie) and Jacob. Great grandmother to 12 wonderful great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Metty (Frank) Beute. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends Predeceased by her parents John and Anna Vanderwerf and 5 siblings. Family and friends will be received at Providence United Reformed Church, 447 Second St., Strathroy, ON N7G 3H8, on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016 at 11 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Parkinson Society or a Christian School of your choice.
