Obituary of Loren Gorman

***ALL ARRANGEMENTS TAKING PLACE IN NACKAWIC, NEW BRUNSWICK J. Loren Gorman of Millville, NB passed away on November 28, 2016 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John, NB. Loren was born in 1919 at Millville, NB, a son of the late John and Della (Hoyt) Gorman. Loren was a veteran, serving with the Navy during the Second World War. He served as Mayor while living in Strathroy, ON and pastored several churches in the Strathroy area. After retirement, Loren and Lorna moved back to Millville where he was very community minded and a member of Millville RCL Branch #59. He is survived by his children, David Gorman (Cathy), Maple Ridge, NB, Ronald Gorman (Anne), Hainesville, NB, Robert Gorman (Gail), Paul Gorman (Nancy) and Carol Arrand (William), all of Strathroy, ON; eleven grandchildren, Kim (Dennis), Brad (Sandra), Tim, Christine, Jennifer (Ryan), Andrea (Victor), Laurie (Erik), Julie, Correne (Liam), Jeff (Rhonda) and Stephen; eighteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie Jewett, Paula Crouse, both of Fredericton, NB and Pauline Foster, Bowmanville, ON; a brother, Rev. Karl Gorman (Helene), Yarmouth, NS; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lorna (Rozee) Gorman in 2006; three sisters, Jacqueline Gorman, Maxine Jones and Ruth Braun; two brothers, Earl Gorman and Arden Gorman and by a grandson Donald Gorman. Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. Visitation will also be held at the Millville Baptist Church, 1469 Route 605, Millville, NB on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 12:30 to 2 pm. A RCL Tribute service will be held at the church at 2 pm followed immediately by the funeral service with Rev. Derek Langille officiating. Interment will be later at the Millville Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald McGuigan and James Cookson. Active pallbearers will be Brad Gorman, Brian Nicholson, Phillip Gorman and John Gorman. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Loren, the family has suggested the Millville Cemetery.
