Obituary of Casey Niels Eric Janes

Casey, age 28, died unexpectedly on November 25, after an arduous struggle with mental illness. Hopefully, he will find the peace that eluded him the last few years of his life. Casey loved music and sports, and he was a gifted guitar player. He graduated from Western University in 2012 with a degree in biochemistry and genetics. He had recently completed Westervelt's Medical Lab Technician program. His was a sweet and gentle soul. Dearly loved son of Greg and Leslie Janes, beloved brother to Kayla and brother-in-law Alex. Loving uncle of Sydney. He will be deeply missed by his wonderful extended family and friends and his furry bro Briar. Thanks to Dr. Mehta, the PEPP program, and all of the people who offered Casey support during his ordeal. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
