Our deepest sympathy to Shirley and family. We have only known you since you moved to Twin Elm Estates but Dick was always out and ready for a visit and chat. He never let the opportunity to visit and pet our Ruby when she and Wayne were out walking pass him by. He will be missed in the community. His memories will remain in your hearts forever.
I was deeply upset when I heard the news, but it prompted me to remember Dick as I new him all those years ago. He always made me feel welcome, as though I was a part of the family. He always had words of wisdom and a few laughs. I always admired his approach to life and his way of seeing good in eveyone. It actually made me smile to think of the times I had in his presence, almost like a fatherly figure to me. I have to consider myself lucky that I knew him and he was a part of my life. I'm sorry I can't be there to say goodbye, but my thoughts and prayers are with you from many miles away. He may be gone from the physical world, but he will never be forgotten.

Dick shared his love of history and his wonderful sense of humour. Dick taught Marilyn many English words that we often laughed about when we were together. The wonderful times we spent together will always be in our hearts.
