Obituary of George Joseph Habib

HABIB, Mr. George Joseph Gabriel Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Strathroy-Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, August 19, 2016. Born December 14, 1934 to the late Joseph and Selma Habib at Mt. Mazzrett, Lebanon. With his parents, he emigrated to Canada in August 1935. Left to mourn his devoted wife Janet (McLean)(Shaw) Habib, two sons Michael Habib, and Martin and Nicole Habib, two grandchildren of whom he was so proud Jacob and Maya Habib, one sister Libby (Joe) Boda, one stepdaughter Libby and Dan Armstrong, four stepgrandchildren – Aaron Shaw, Megan (Shaw) Godik, Amy Nowlan and Kaylee Armstong, also several nieces and nephews, three sisters in law – Lila (Joe) Habib, Marion (Arnold) Pickles, Marion (Bill) Hagar. Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty Joan, one sister Cecelia (Leo) Kokoski, two brothers Joseph Habib and Jerry Habib and Liz Habib, five brothers in law, Leo Kokoski, Arnold Pickles, Bill Hagar, Bob Hagar and Shirley Hagar. As per George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment to take place at a later date.
