Very sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. I grew up with the Steinecke kids in Kapuskasing and have many fond memories of being invited into their home, exploring the greenhouse and attending church together. May your memories of your loved one be a comfort to you all.
I remember Helmut from sleepovers with Julia at the farm...we had so much fun catching frogs and enjoying the outdoors.. ..until we brought the frogs into the house and they started croaking very loudly in their bottles in the middle of the night! Helmut was not happy and the frogs were unceremoniously dumped outside! Julia and I have been friends for many years and I will never forget our times at the greenhouse!
We extend our sincere sympathy to the family at this time. We enjoyed the times we had with Helmut and Therese at their home and at Trillium. We also enjoyed some of the tomatoes from his garden. We will be attending a granddaughter's wedding May 28 but do want you to know that our thoughts and prayers will be with you.
