"Miss" Dunlop was my most remembered teacher from 5th grade at Colbourne Street School. When a teacher believes in you it makes a difference. After leaving SPS I often thought of her, but never had any contact after that. I think I would have made her proud, even though she would likely disavow any credit. It is wonderful to know she lived a long and full life, a just reward for her care for student success.
I used to visit her classroom often after school when I advanced to older grades. I attended boarding school after eight grade and my family moved east to Oshawa shortly after that. Ultimately I graduated from university and pursued graduate studies and a subsequent academic life; but, Miss Dunlop was always in my mind as a great teacher and an influence in my life.
I regret that I didn't know where she was so that I could pass on my regard to her directly.

My deepest condolences to the family of Miss Dunlop. She was my teacher in public school (Colbourne) and also at SDCI. She was always ready to help you when you had a problem. She loved teaching and wanted all her students to learn.

My deepest condolences go out to Miss Dunlop's family. She was my home-economics teacher all through high school. She was a very strict, but fair lady. I learned so much from her, not only about home economics, but about being a strong, independent woman.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.
