Obituary of Alzira Azevedo

It is with great sorrow the family of Alzira Azevedo announces her passing surrounded by her loving family on January 22nd, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Jose Azevedo (2015). Loving mother of Fernando Azevedo (Gracinda) and Fernanda Giffen (Michael). Cherished Avõ of Sean, Jessica and Aaron Giffen. Survived by her sister Judy Gomes. Predeceased by her sister Jesuina Machado and brothers-in-law Jeronimo Gomes and Marcolino Machado. Alzira will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Portugal and Canada. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24th, 2016 at Denning’s of Strathroy from 5-9p.m. Parish prayers to commence at 8p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 25th at 11a.m at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
