Obituary of Maria Estela Bettencourt

Peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 21st, 2016 at home surrounded by her loved ones in her 86th year. Born in Pico, Azores. Beloved wife of the late Antonio (2013). Predeceased by her son Manuel Bettencourt and daughter Connie Da Fonseca. Cherished mother of Maria (Ray) McChesney and Tony (Sylvia) Bettencourt. Adored grandmother of Lynn-Marie Melo, Christopher (Colleen) Overbeek, Deon (Danielle) Da Fonseca, Carl (Liz) Overbeek, Amy Da Fonseca, Kayla (Jonathan) Hill, Justin, Anthony and Joiselynn Bettencourt. Doting great-grandmother of Dylan and Zachary Melo, Zara Da Fonseca, Leah Da Fonseca, Ava-Leigh Overbeek, Jaden Hill, and Jovani Da Fonseca Beloved sister of Manuel (Maria) Tomas, Antonio (Fernanda) Tomas. Also survived by sisters, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews in the Azores and Canada. Family and friends will be received at Denning’s of Strathroy on Monday, January 25th, 2016 from 7-9p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 11a.m with visitation an hour prior at All Saints Roman Catholic Church.
