Obituary of Kamel Salem Safadi

Suddenly at his farm on Wednesday October 14th, 2015 Kamel “Kam” Salem Safadi in his 74th year passed away. Kamel will be forever loved and missed by his wife Verna, children Gerry (Michelle), Jennifer (Kevin), James, Lisa, Jason, Cathy (Morgan) and Sue. Proud grandfather of Noah, Amber and Rayna. Sadly missed by his sisters Lisa and Wahdad, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents and four brothers (Khalil, Kaleem, Michele and Emile). Kamel was the hardest of working men who always had a story and a joke to tell. Always with books and his Galaxy S5 by his bedside, he never stopped learning. Throughout his life he worked as a carpenter, a tobacco surveyor, a barber, a business owner, home renovator and home Chef (recipes always changing). In retirement he became a farmer. His vast careers are a testament that there wasn’t anything he didn’t know how to do. He could accomplish the tasks others would consider impossible. He never stopped working, up until his death he was doing what he loved, working on his farm. A private visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at Denning's of Strathroy. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or a charity of your choice. Most importantly, enjoy a dinner with your family at home, which is what Kam would want.
