Obituary of Susan Evans

Susan passed away peacefully at her home in Strathroy on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 with her family around her at the age of 68. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Peter and by her children Randy Evans of Strathroy and Caryna (Mark) Wilding of Issaquah, WA, USA. She was a doting devoted “Nana” to her grandchildren Austin, Rhys, Dylan, Brandon, Haily, Calvin, and her great granddaughter Bailey. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Phyllis Tucker (nee Reeves). Susan was born in Gorseinon, Wales where she received her training in Early Childhood Education. She immigrated to Canada when she married Peter at the age of 19 and lived in many places and made friends across the country. She spent much of her life working with children and was always singing, whether it be children’s songs or in numerous church and community choirs. Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Susan’s life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Strathroy on Saturday, October 10th at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Brain Tumour Foundation.
