Obituary of Konrad Günther Gmehlin

In his 68th year, Konrad Günther Gmehlin, after surviving multiple heart attacks and health issues, passed away August 8, 2015. Husband of 43 years to Rosemarie. Father of Stephan (wife Marsha), Ruth and Ute. Opa to Sabrina, Tylor, Justin, Abby and Quentin. Konrad grew up in Langerringen, Germany, and moved to Strathroy, Canada in 1982. He loved music, soccer and had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, travel and adventure. He farmed until 1996 and then enjoyed his retirement, family, and more travel right up until a few days before he passed. He will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Denning's of Strathroy on Wednesday from 11-1p.m. A celebration of Konrad's life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 24542 Melbourne Road, Cairngorm, on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. In memory of Konrad, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
