Obituary of Thomas Harold Moore
Peacefully at L.H.S.C. University Hospital on Friday, July 17th, 2015, Thomas Harold “Tom” Moore of Forest, formerly of Strathroy, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Mary Lou Moore (nee Robertson) for 58 years. Loving father of Tom J. Moore (Patti), Julie A. DeWeerd (Rick), Joseph S. “Joe” Moore (Deb). Tom was the proud Grandpa of Elyssa Minielly (nee Moore) (Eric), Jodi Moore, Mathew Stewardson, “T.J.”Moore (Nicole Meta), Nikki Moore, Jaime Moore and Charley Vanderhoek. The fun loving Pa Pa of Selena Moore, and Briar and Aubryn Minielly. Tom was predeceased by his parents Frank Moore (1940) and Rosina Moore (nee Chambers) (1971), and his step-father Cris Poelman (1992) all of Watford; as well as by his brothers Ivan Moore (2006) of Sarnia, George Moore (1975) of Watford, Levern Moore (1978) of Woodstock and his sister-in-law Joyce Moore (2015) of Sarnia. Survived by his brother Orville Moore (Kathy) of Northbay, sister Rose Willer (nee Moore) of Watford, sister-in-law Carol Spencer (George) of Watford and many nieces and nephews. As Tom begins his next adventure with the Lord, a Celebration of Life will held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 at Denning’s of Strathroy, 32 Metcalfe Street West, at 1pm. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20th, 2015 from 7-9pm and again on Tuesday from 11am until the time of the service. Donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Pinery Baptist Church, Thedford, Bethel Baptist Church, Strathroy, Strathroy V.O.N. or a Charity of Your Choice and would be greatly appreciated.
