Joan and Dirk, and Feenstra families Our sincere sympathy in the passing of your sister Joan. It is always sad to hear of a loved ones passing, especially when they were alone. I have very fond memories of Joan who taught me for a while at John Calvin School, as well as tutoring me in math. It always amazed me that she remembered my name. She was a very special person and will be missed. May you experience Gods love and grace at this time.

I want to extend sympathy to Yeltsa's family in their loss. I attended high school with Yeltsa (as she was then known) at SDCI; she was always cheerful and friendly. I had the opportunity of spending time with her at our Grade 13 reunion in 2010; I learned that she had huge responsibilities and was an amazing support to her family while she was still at school. And in spite of difficulties in her later life she maintained a positive attitude and obviously enjoyed herself. A true inspiration for us all!.

So sad to read of Jeltje's death. We went to high school together and graduated Grade XIII together in 1960. She was at our one and only class reunion in 2009 and we all had SUCH a great time. I live in California and organized the reunion from here - called the Feenstra # in Strathroy and got connected with Jeltje that way. I remember her insisting that we all call her Jeltje at the reunion as she said it reminded her of the fun days in high school. My condolences to all of her family. I've only seen her once in the past 55 years - but still hate to think of her not being here. We're hoping to have another reunion next year and we'll all talk about Jeltje and remember her lovinglly. Georgia
