Obituary of Gurli Svendsen

Surrounded by her family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on the morning of Friday, June 5th, 2015, Gurli Svendsen (nee Hansen) at the age of 80. Sister of Esther Johannesen, Ingvald Hansen, and Fritz Hansen. Wife of Per Svendsen (it's complicated). Vibrant mother, source of admiration and inspiration to Paul and Lorna, Karen, Esther and Tim, Sandra (2014) and Peter, and Margaret. Grandmother of Chiara and Marc, Grace, Rebekah and Chris, Amanda and Will, Jonathan and Ashley, Brittany and Ted, Elysse, and Blair and Bryan. Grandmama of Arian, Danny, Ethan, Kirsten, Clarissa, Tianna, Paige, and Liam. Gurli will be forever loved by many friends and family in Canada, Denmark and the Faroe Islands. Friends and family will be received at Denning's of Strathroy, 32 Metcalfe Street, Strathroy, on Wednesday from 11am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1pm.
