Obituary of Violet Mae Hammond

Peacefully passed at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on February 2, 2015. Loving mother of Sherry Hammond and Judy Gillis (late Brian Gillis). Violet was a proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren. Cherished great-grandmother of 4. Survived by her sister Lily, Verna, Hilda, Robena, and Carol. Also survived by her son-in-law Jeff Harris. Violet was a very strong women and fought hard until the end. She was born in Burnt Point, Newfoundland on June 24, 1942. As per Violet’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
