Obituary of Kenneth Marlborough

MARLBOROUGH Kenneth Marlborough, 78, passed away May 25, 2014 at Strathroy Hospital. Ken was born September 3, 1935 to Elizabeth and Jack Marlborough in Sunderland, England. Ken served in the British Army where he met his bride, Sophia Marlborough, on his tour in Malaysia. Shortly after they moved to England where 6 years later they emigrated to Canada with three children. During his 49 years in Canada he worked as a Millwright and eventually retired from Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed golfing, reading, computer work and British comedies. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Sophie (Scully), daughters; Yvonne (John) Borg, Dawn Dearlove (Ken Brown), Son: Peter (Jane) Marlborough; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; cousin Richard; sisters-in-law, Marie, Evelyn, Dorothy (Allan), brothers-in-law, Philip, James, Tony, Reggie, Eddie, Willy and Ozzie. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Jack Marlborough. Friends may call at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME, Strathroy on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 from 7 - 9 pm. Parish prayers will be recited at 8:30 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 am. Father Lucio Couto celebrant.
