Dear Fred, My thoughts are with you since last night when Linda Dunsmore told me about Judy's passing. I am so very sorry I didn't know in time to come to the funeral. Heck, I might have even done another belly dance for her like I did on her 60th birthday! It is so difficult to grasp that someone as vital as Judy has gone. We may not have seen each other often but it was always great fun when we did get together. I have fond memories of our SDCI days together and the Cheerleading Team. My best wishes to you and the family. May you find the peace you need at this time and keep the memories you cherish in your heart. With love Heather(Dennison)Brandt

Although I moved into the lifestyle of my father's side of the family (with my other parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents) my Grandma and Grandpa were still, and always will be, my Grandma and Grandpa.
My Grandma was a wondrous human being who was loved by so many people and loved each and every one of us greatly in return. I have so many memories with her that are so hard to let go of, and putting thought into that statement I realized I should never let them go at all. It'd be easier on us if we could just learn to forget it all and live our lives like nothing ever happened; but it's not possible to do that. And even if we could, Grandma doesn't deserve that. A woman so loving and generous deserves to leave a mark on our hearts. A mark that says "I loved you friend, daughter, soulmate, son, grandchild" A mark that says "Remember all of the things I've done for you and how your needs always came before mine." A mark that says "I've made you smile, laugh, cry, and bellyache. I've held you close in my arms, kissed your forehead, and sang you to sleep." I don't want to forget her, I don't want to let her go, but in my heart I know that if she saw me crying like this right now, she'd be scratching my head of hair ever so gently and saying "it's okay. Everything is going to be alright."
My Grandma may have lost her battle with cancer, but like a wartime hero, she fought it to the end with everything she could. And I'm proud of her. I love her. And she'll always be in my heart.

To Annie, Paul, Todd, Fred and all of Judy's family and friends, Judy truly knew what it meant to be a friend. A friend taken too soon. We shared laughter and good times since we were both seventeen. The memories shall never be forgotten. Please accept our deepest condolences. Sincerely, Richard Anthony Piet and Bonnie Rodger.
