I remember going to Lobo to visit the Howes at their home as a kid...which always was a GREAT time! My Mom, Diane Lajoie, sold antiques and we knew Andy from the antique shows and auctions around London. Sometimes we would go out to Lobo and Andy would give nickles to my sister (Darian), Andy Jr., and me to go down to the general store for ice creams. But my favorite memory of Andy is probably from a BBQ party at his house when I was about 6 years old. I was watching him grilling from a little bit away and he called me over: "Danielle, come here. I want to teach you something." He grabbed a glass from the table nearby, and opened the cooler to get a beer. "This is how you pour a beer properly." He cracked it open and started to pour, slowly down the side of the glass. "Nice and slowly like this, down the inside of the glass. See?" "Yup!" I said. With a little left, he handed it over and said, "Here, you try." I gave it a shot, and he approved my pour. "Great! Now bring that to your Mom, she needs a beer." I carefully carried it over to my Mom, and now whenever I pour a beer I think of Andy. Thanks for the useful lesson!

You were my best friend. There wasn't much we couldn't talk about. You were there through my tears and joy. You became my younger brother (sounds better than me being an older sister) but mostly my best friend. I will cherish all the memories and the fun times with Doug. I loved you both and will miss you so much. xo
