I only had the priviledge of meeting Dr. Wright once, but I will never forget her. In 1995, I had the honour of receiving an award from Dr. Wright (sponsored by her) at my highschool graduation. I remember her to be very clever, charming and full of life. Being only 18 at the time, I didn't know a lot about her, however I wish that I had known more. In reviewing Dr. Wright's accomplishments, I was facinated...she was an amazing woman. Her work and dedication to developing youth will certainly be remembered for year to come.

Dr. Mary Wright was a warm and perceptive woman who always took the time to speak to students about their concerns. She encouraged me to become a child psychologist.

I guess this is the last of that generation of that amazing family. I was privileged to know Mary through my friendship with the Sarnia branch of the Wright family, but more lately as part of the Huron Univ College community of which she was an integral part. I never missed an opportunity to sit and chat. She had a very interesting life, which I loved to hear about. I will always carry that image of her laughter when I showed up late for a meeting once and inadvertently filled the sugar bowl with tea, as the lights were turned down for a power point. I then sat next to her and sampled the concction. Her eyes had adjusted to the dark and mine had not. Great lady - condolences to all.

Dear Mary Wright, we only met a week ago while you were in the hospital but it was an honour to meet you. My children were captivated by you. Your words of wisdom will always be remembered.
