Obituary of Johanna de Koning

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, June 3, 2013, Johanna de Koning (nee Peeters) of Strathroy in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Franciscus de Koning (2000) and dear mother of Jenny and Tom Sangster of Thedford, Joanne Michielsen of Parkhill, Mary and Ed Wiendels of Arkona, Betty and Joe Thuss of Kerwood, Martin and Dorine de Koning of Watford Nancy and Frank Beenackers of Muirkirk, Ken de Koning of Watford, Linda and John Donkers of Monkton, Frances de Koning of Strathroy and Elly and John McAllister of Watford. Johanna is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Survived by brother Martin and Mary Peeters of Strathroy, 2 sisters and 1 brother in Holland. Predeceased by two infant grandsons and son-in-law Jack Michielsen. Also remembered by many other relatives here and in Holland. Friends will be received at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, June 7th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Catholic Women's League Prayers will be prayed at 1:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 8th at All Saints Roman Catholic Church at 10 am with Father Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Watford. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the SMGH Foundation or V.O.N. Middlesex-Elgin.
