Obituary of Arthur Nesseth
With great courage and dignity, and surrounded by his loving family, Arthur (Art) E. Nesseth of Komoka passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London on Tuesday, October 14, 2003. Art, his wife Betty and their daughters and families owned and operated Oriole Park Resort in Komoka for the past 40 years. His wife of 56 years, Betty, supported him with courage and hope through recent weeks of illness - as she has for so many years. He will always be remembered with deep love and fond memories by his daughters and their husbands; Lynda and Hartmut Doering, Ruth and John Hall, and Wendy Nesseth and Charles DeLost. His grandchildren Brent, Ryan, Matt and Mike Hall; Chris and Mandy Doering and Anton DeLost grieve the loss of their precious friend and companion. His siblings Ralph Nesseth, Glenn Nesseth, Lola Nesseth and Judy Rameau as well as Hubert Nesseth and Agnes Ardy (predeceased) have offered him great comfort and affection. His inlaws Viola and Andy Peterson, Henry and Joyce Boley and Pat and Chuck Svendsen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, were a source of joy to him all his life. He will be remembered fondly as a dedicated family man and generous spirit by innumerable friends and customers from years gone by. A celebration of Art's life will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, October 17 at 1 PM with Rev. Michael Perreault officiating. Interment in Campbell Cemetery, Komoka. Funeral home visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A scholarship endowment has been arranged in Art Nesseth's name, in respect and memory of his creative gifts and inventions, to serve as inspiration and support for future inquisitive and inquiring inventors. We request that, instead of flowers, donations are made in Art's name to this endowment. These donations can be made thorugh the funeral home.
