Obituary of John Tanton

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 79th year on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, John Douglas Tanton of Strathroy. Loving husband to Margaret (Allison) for 57 years. Will be remembered by sons Robert (Carol), Doug (Cecilia) , Pete, David (Shaunda) and loving daughter Sheila. Predeceased by son John (1949). Will be missed sadly by 14 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. Survived by sisters Grace Patrick (Robert) and Marion Thompson and brother Harry Tanton. Predeceased by brother Edward Tanton and his parents Edward and Bessie. Visitation at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Thursday, March 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Friday March 11 at 1 p.m. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. A Legion Service under the direction of Sir Arthur Currie Branch 116 will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
