Obituary of Martin Boomen

A dedicated husband, father and grand father. A strong man of honesty and integrity. Martin VandenBoomen of Strathroy died suddenly on Tuesday, May 24th at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 91st year. Devoted husband of Nellie VandenBoomen (Strybosch). Loving father of Martin (Annette), Peter (Diane), Bill (Marlene) and Gary VandenBoomen and Mary (John) Walsh. Proud grandfather of Brian, Kelly, Michael, Laura, Andrea, Karyn, Stephanie, Jeff, Rick, Rachelle, Devan, Jessica, Hannah, Justine, John and Michael. Survived by brothers Gerry (Tonny), Peter (Theresa) VandenBoomen and sister Martina (John) Vanderburgt. Also survived by brothers and sisters in-law John and Lena Strybosch, Martin and Irene Strybosch, Leona Strybosch, Harry Strybosch, Neil and Ricky McNeill, Tony and Diane Strybosch. Predeceased by brothers William, Chris, Harry and John VandenBoomen of Holland and brother in law William Strybosch, sister in law Josephine Strybosch. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home in Strathroy, on Thursday, May 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 11 AM with Father John Sharp officiating. Prayers will be held Thursday evening at 6:45 PM. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Sprucedale care centre.
