Obituary of Jean Hardy

Jean Elizabeth (Kohlsmith) Hardy of Strathroy and formerly of R.R. 3 Appin in her 82nd year at Sprucedale Care Centre on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Hardy (1982). Dear sister of Bert of Vancouver, Gordon, Arthur (Mary) Kohlsmith and Anna Melnick all of Strathroy. Also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Maria Kohlsmith of Mt. Brydges, Mary Kohlsmith, Kay Hardy, Reta Gare and Norma Denning all of Srathroy, Grant Hardy of Appin, Robert Wade of Calgary and Catherine Kohlsmith of N.S., as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Elsie Kohlsmith, brothers Wilbert, Charles and Robert Kohlsmith and sisters Hilda Muylaert and Velma Wade. Jean served 34½ years teaching in Middlesex rural schools and in Strathroy. Visitation at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Thursday, February 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 pm with Rev. Richard Golden officiating. Interment in Appin Cemetery. Donations to Strathroy Middlesex Hospital Foundation, North Ekfrid United Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
