Obituary of Ralph Ballast

Peacefully on Thursday, February 2nd, 2006 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 81st year, Ralph Ballast of Strathroy went to be with his Lord and Saviour. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jane, loving children Paul and Clara Buma, Vivian and John VanderHoek, Sylvia and Martin Steenstra and John and Rosanne Ballast. Ralph is predeceased by 2 sisters and 5 brothers and survived by 2 brothers, Henk and Nico of Holland. He will be missed dearly by his loving grandchildren Michael and Selena, Alisa, Nicholas Buma, Tim (Amy Wong), Sandra (Adam Swanton), Ryan, Karen VanderHoek, Joel and Gina, Dayna Steenstra, Tyler, Rachel, Joshua Ballast. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5th, 2006 at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home in Strathroy from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Westmount Christian Reformed Church, 405 Drury Lane in Strathroy on Monday at 11am with Pastor Fred Vanderberg officiating. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
