Went to be with his Lord. At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, June 22, 2007, John VanderWal of Strathroy in his 90 th. year. Loving husband of Johanna (DeWilde) for 68 years. Beloved father of Bert & Mary, Rien & Betty all of R.R.#2 Ilderton. Proud grandfather of Sandra & Dale, Shelley , Laurie, Jim & Lisa, Terry & Marsha, Ken & Heather and Brian & Londii. Very proud great grandpa of Jacob, Tasha, Clayton, Tori, Carmen, Nathalie, Kate and Leah. Survived by sister-in-law Pietje VanderWal and one brother and four sisters in Holland. Predeceased by four brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held in the East Christian Reformed Church 476 Metcalfe St.E, Strathroy on Monday, June 25, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 7:00-9:00 P.M. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Walter De Ruiter officiating.Interment to follow in Friend's Cemertry, Coldstream.
