Obituary of Albert Dolbear

Peacefully, at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig on Thursday, September 6, 2007, Albert F. Dolbear in his 94th. year. Beloved husband for 64 years of the late Hazel Irene Dolbear (nee Phipps)(2007). Caring father of Kay Knight (Roy) of St. Thomas, Gail McLeod (Bill) of London, Doug Dolbear (Pat) of Parkhill, Lynne Herrington (Ivan) of Grand Bend and Louise Dedman (Merritt) of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Michelle, Melanie & her fiancé (Bryan Lidster) & Mike Knight; Shawn, Jennifer McLeod (Scott Mills); Kirk, Brian Dolbear (Krista) and Angela Dolbear; Jason & Simon Desjardine, Justin Breault(Crissy), Todd, Trevor, Jilayne, Khira Dedman. Proud great-grandfather of Andrew & Geoffrey Dolbear. Albert farmed in Denfield for over 50 years. He was a member of the National Farmers Union, an active member of Melville United Church, Ivan and an awesome euchre player in the area. Albert donated generously to many charitable causes and to those in need. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Sunday, September 9, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Pam Tolmay officiating. Interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe. In lieu of flowers donations to the Melville United Church, Ivan, MS Society, Mission Services of London or charity of choice would be appreciated.
