Obituary of Bruce Watchorn

Bruce Alfred Watchorn - December 16, 1932 - December 27, 2007 - It is with such deep sorrow and sadness that we share the news of our loss. Dearly loved, best friend, soul mate and husband of Frances. "Pop", dear dad of Curt, Cathy, Dean and Margaret. "Papa", loved grandpa of Brian, Kait, Evan, Taylor, Dale and Megan and great-grandpa of Bailey. Respected and loved brother of Shirley (Tom - 2005) Nelson and Mary Lou and Lloyd Lichti, all of Stratford. Devoted brother-in-law of Joyce and Don Livingstone, Elmvale, Joan McElwain, Wasaga Beach, Ray and Sandra McElwain, Larry McElwain and Sharon Smith all of Phelpston. Uncle Bruce to many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Lulu and Alfred Watchorn and Fran's parents Gladys and Wendel McElwain, sister-in-law Doreen (Len) Handy and brother-in-law Doug Smith. Bruce was dedicated and passionate about everything he ever did in his life. After 44 years with Superior Propane, Bruce began and built a successful real estate career. He also held volunteer positions on many committees in and around the community. He was a proud member of GORFF (Retired Superior Propane Employees). His deepest most heartfelt devotion was however to his family, his life with Fran and his constant guidance in Curt and Dean's lives and their families, often shown quietly with words unspoken. Our special thanks to Dr. Buma, nursing staff at Strathroy Hospital, Dr. MacDonald and nursing staff of the London Region Cancer Centre and LHSC and to all our friends for your visits, kindness and support throughout this difficult time in our lives. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Saturday, December 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 30 at 2 PM with Rev. Kathy Fraser officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Brain Tumour Research would be greatly appreciated by the family.
