My heartfelt condolences to Joe’s family. Joe and Frances were firstly clients and very soon thereafter, friends. I loved to follow ( and hopefully assist, in a very small way ) Joe’s efforts and successes bringing his sailboat to production and sales success. Among several very fond memories, I particularly recall meeting Joe at the end of a very cold January business day in Toronto, at the boat show where he had a booth to promote and sell his boat, and then after a great visit, while among other things, he proudly showed off his display, we went to the Island Airport from where he flew us home to London in his plane. Although divergent business interests took us in different directions and we saw little of each other for many years, we remained in touch principally ( but not exclusively) )through the exchange of Christmas greetings each year. It’s ironic, I guess, that the that annual exchange did not occur this year; the result of the postal strike.
Rest in peace, a gentleman and my friend.

I remember Uncle Joe picking my sister and I up in Oshawa to fly us to London for Frans wedding. We were all so excited but couldn’t help being a bit nervous. He showed us all the sights as we flew. I remember visits with Aunt Frances and Uncle Joe and sharing koolaid with the cousins. While we were there Joe showed us were he built his boats. I can still smell the fibreglass. The visit always ended with a ride on his boat and I loved it. I remember thinking how well he built the boat. Those were the good old days.
Condolences and Prayers to Julie, Fran, Joe, Kevin and families.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers to you all—Julie, Fran, Joe, Kevin, and their families. Yes, the flight is over, to be united with family members, especially Mom. ( His help with computers should not be overlooked either; he got us set up or out of predicaments several times.) It's always a difficult time when losing your parent (especially the last one-- for now you are orphaned) and especially at Christmas time. Alice Lucio and family.
