Obituary of Elaine Renee Adrienne Cattrysse

Suddenly, at her home, on December 17th, 2024, Elaine Cattrysse, passed away in her 74th year. 

Beloved mother to Renee (Paul) Robinson, Angela (Adam) O'Dell, Karelyn (Scott) Ryckman, Naadine (Jeremy) Renneboog, Jareld (Tamara) Cattrysse and Erica (Damian) Cattford. 

Adored Metje to Benjamin and Owen Stobie and Andrea Tripp; Gillian, Grant and Lacey O'Dell; and Alexis, Maddison and Everlea Ryckman. 

Survived by her siblings Dianne (Tony) Strybosch, Maurice (Janet) Cattrysse, Linda Cattrysse and Lorraine (Mark) Colpaert.

Predeceased by her loving parents Julien (2005) and Irene (2019) both natives of Belgium, and her brother Jerome (2012). 

Lovingly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Elaine will be laid to rest with her children, grandchildren, and her immediate family members with a private gathering in the coming days.

Spring has arrived, bringing with it the daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths that Mama loved so dearly. These beautiful blooms remind us of new life and the beauty that continues to surround us. In this spirit, we invite you to join us in celebrating the life and legacy of our dear Mama.

Location: Strathroy Lions Hall

Please come with happiness, good company, and memories to share as we honour her life. There will be an opportunity to share stories, laughter, and enjoy delicious food—something Mama cherished every year during summer picnics, Christmas gatherings, and visits over tea.
